Animate Co., Ltd. commemorates the eighth anniversary of the broadcast of the anime television series "Bungo Stray Dogs" with the first of eight major projects, the "Eighth Anniversary Commemorative Retrospective at Anime Stores Worldwide," to be held at all Animate stores and Animate online shops, including overseas branches, throughout the anniversary year. New merchandise featuring illustrations drawn for each season will be released seasonally. The details of the first merchandise have been announced.

Based on the supernatural battle action manga by Kafka Asagiri and Harukawa 35, the anime television series "Bungo Stray Dogs" features characters bearing the names of literary legends such as Atsushi Nakajima, Osamu Dazai, and Ryunosuke Akutagawa. It has been broadcast up to its fifth season and celebrated its eighth anniversary since its anime television series broadcast started on April 7, 2024. The sales of the original work have exceeded a cumulative total of 13 million copies (including electronic versions) and is a highly popular work that has also been adapted into a stage play.

Starting from April 26, as the first step of the eighth-anniversary project, a variety of goods will be released, including acrylic stands and holographic button badges featuring illustrations from the "Gakuen Bungo Stray Dogs" series, which has now become a tradition for the April Fool's project.
